Krrish 4 was supposed to release Christmas 2018, alongside the untitled Shah Rukh-Anand L Rai project. But filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has backed out of the clash and was quoted saying it would be "unethical". Rakesh Roshan added that Shah Rukh had already announced the movie beforehand, and that they were there to make films, and not controversy.
